World Breastfeeding Week

In order to illicit change in the world, we all need to work together. That’s why we have banded together to form sustainable partnerships in order to promote global movements. World Breastfeeding Week is a call to action for the support and protection of breastfeeding at all times. It is about fighting for mother’s rights to breastfeed and educating people on the vast amount of benefits. From 1 – 7 August 2017 help us by showing your support for World Breastfeeding Week (#WBW2017).

The objectives for this week are to inform, anchor, engage and galvanize the Sustainable Development Goals that were put in place in 2015. These goals aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity. Breastfeeding is linked to each of these goals, as it is a natural and affordable way to feed infants and babies that provides benefits far past better nutrition. It helps reduce inequalities, save energy, fight poverty and hunger and even promote peace. We are committed to achieving these goals by 2030 and can only do it with your help!

That’s why, at Byram Healthcare, we are proud to support and spread the word about WABA’s World Breastfeeding Week and will continue to engage in the promotion and protection of breastfeeding. If you are interested in learning more, head over to the World Breastfeeding Week website. You can also share the graphics on our Byram Healthcare Facebook page in order to help us spread the word!
